Axis Mundi Swings

AXIS MUNDI SWINGS is Sophie Graubner’s design for Burning Man 2026.

This year’s theme, *Axis Mundi*, alludes—among other things—to the interconnectedness of all things. Sophie Graubner hails from Hamburg, Germany, and thus from Europe. Her concept envisions people sitting or standing on the swings, elevated in the air, where they can reflect on their own roots amidst the European heritage of Knossos. Sophie Graubner plans to bring this design to Burning Man as a sculpture one day.
