Burner City

Burning Man 2006's theme was Hope and Fear: The Future — a meditation on what comes next, on the cities we build and what we hope they'll become. Burner City lands squarely in that conversation. A city of burners. A city that is only temporary, only real for one week, and yet somehow more fully realized as a community than most permanent cities ever manage.

The name functions as both a description and a claim: this is a city, and its citizens are burners. It is equal parts affectionate and declarative. The sticker is a document of belonging — proof that you are from somewhere, even if that somewhere disappears every September.
