Burners on Board

A plural update to the classic Burner on Board concept — now there are more of you. Burners on Board is a car window sticker for the vehicle carrying multiple members of the culture back into the default world after the burn. The 2019 Burning Man theme was Metamorphoses, and the drive home after a week on the Playa is one of the more disorienting metamorphoses most burners experience.

There is something specific about driving through the Nevada desert after Burning Man — dusty, probably exhausted, probably changed — and knowing everyone in the car went through it with you. This sticker communicates that to everyone else on the highway: this car carries people who just came from somewhere you probably have not been.
