Animalia Wolf

Burning Man's 2023 theme, Animalia, invited Black Rock City to explore its own place inside the animal kingdom — real animals and mythic ones, from the trickster Coyote of Native American tradition to the sacred beasts of ancient Egypt.

At its center was tonalism, the old belief that every person carries an animal counterpart tied to who they are.

Wolves have long stood in for that kind of bond across cultures — loyalty, pack, wildness held together — making one a natural choice to represent the theme. Dima contributed this wolf sticker to the Archive in 2023, though its fuller backstory has never been recorded.
