Beyond Belief

The 2003 Burning Man theme was Beyond Belief — an invitation to explore the space where spirituality, metaphysics, faith, and doubt collide. Participants were encouraged to build labyrinths, create temples, host ritual processions, and inundate the playa with sacred spaces. Over 120 art installations answered that call. The official sticker from that year carries the weight of a question Burning Man has always asked: what do you believe when you're standing in the middle of the desert with 30,000 other people, watching something burn?
