Black Rock Center for Unlearning

Motto: Fuck what you know. The Black Rock Center for Unlearning was founded in 2009 by a group of mostly first-time burners who found each other in the dust and decided not to leave — at least not spiritually. About 100 people from around the world now make up this camp family. They run a 24-hour bar, cook two full meals a day for campers (Thursday is Thanksgiving), and bring 4,000 square feet of shade to the playa. The curriculum: unlearn everything, then drink about it.
