Burn Clean

Burning Man has a sobriety culture that often goes unnoticed by people who assume the event is entirely about intoxication. Burn Clean is for the sober burners — people who experience the Playa, the art, the community, the burning of the Man, all of it, without substances. It turns out that a glowing city in the middle of the desert, lit by fire and full of strangers who treat you like family, is pretty overwhelming on its own.

The 2018 theme was I, Robot — a look at where the line falls between human and machine, presence and automation. Burn Clean carries that energy in a specific direction: nothing automatic about showing up fully present, wide awake, and completely yourself. The sticker exists to say: we are here too.
