Some stickers tell a story. Lust. Dust. Bacon. tells a philosophy. Three words contributed by Steve Lassoverky from Burning Man 2004 — the year of the Vault of Heaven, when the Man stood atop a geodesic dome Observatory and the playa was ringed by dioramas of alternate worlds. The weather that year brought dust storms, high winds, and frigid nights.

And yet: the three constants held. The essentials of Black Rock City distilled in order of immediacy — the human impulse, the inescapable environment, and the inexplicable comfort of bacon at sunrise after a night on the playa.
